H/C sensor dances

H/C sensor dances

im not sure what it is but my hot cold/sensor that lets me know when my engine is getting to hot is dancing aroung. it doesnt stay right in the middle.

im just wondering if it is because i had to unplug the the air filter censor installing my cai.

what did you guys do with the sensor? and can this be the problem

The intake air temp sensor has nothing to do with your engine temperature gauge.

Go check the connection at the coolant temp sensor. It's the first one you come to where the upper hose connects to the block. Make sure the terminal is clean and tight. That should stabalize the gauge.

This is a little down the line of priorities, but check the thermostat. Mine went out and was doing a similiar act, but then would periodically got hot.
