Changing gauge faces

Hey guys, I just bought my friend's old '96 SE cluster from him so I can switch his white gauge faces with my black ones. I'm using this website as a guide... http://www.vqpower.com/v2/modules.ph...showpage&pid=8 . Are there any other precautions or tips you guys can give me in regards to the needles? I'm afraid of doing this because of the possibility of screwing them up. Thanks

If I go by this "how-to" http://forums.maxima.org/showpost.ph...46&postcount=2, should my real needles be ok? I also wanted to know if I could just switch the needles too when I am finished?

Because the miles are different.

i believe there's a way to change the mileage, but i forgot where i've seen it.

how different is it? when i changed mine out, the difference was like 2,000 miles.

His old cluster says 131,008 miles, I have under 84,000... it's too late now anyway, I've already removed the faces. I just hope I don't screw up on my cluster.
