Thoughts on MOMO GT2 17 inch wheel on 4th Gen (Poll & Photo Inside)

Hey, looking for some tough constructive criticism on this wheel. Its a 17 inch Momo GT2. Would appreciate honest and open opinion, I can take them or keep looking. Sorry about the photo, was able to put the front wheel on and snap a few shots to see what I thought.

bascially, just looking for some bigger wheels and some tough tires, to combat these tire eating roads here. will use the 16 inch ssr for track days.

so let me know, should i hold off or grab this set ?

i love the mismatched look! but yeah, i do like the looks of those. do the spokes stick out towards the lugs like the picture shows? if so, is there a lot of risk for some curb rash? if that's not really a deal, i like the look when they stick out, so yeah get em!

Im undecided on them, for these 4 wheels and tires im looking at $950 US, I like the idea of MOMO ( a touch of Italy) on Ceasars Chariot, LOL ! But thought I would get more input from the 4th gen guys. They are certainly big time heavy versus the SSR, but again a new set would just be for rolling around town, cruising and putting a cheaper tire that can rack up the miles on the rough rodes here. A soft tire like the toyo proxes t1-s will just get chewed up over here. So again, honest opinions only, please none of the sugar coated stuff on this thread.

and thanks for the replys so far !

Personally, not really my style, I agree with Chipolte18.
They stick out a little to far...What if you acidentally curbed them? Those big spokes would get the hell scraped out of them..

Plus, they are heavy wheels, which will slow you down...They weigh 26 lbs. versus the 19.6 lbs. of our stock wheels versus your SSR's which weigh about 11 -12 lbs. *credit ----> Wheel Weights (.pdf format)

I say look for something else, but like always, if you really like them, then get them!

that is a good looking wheel

if they are just for stylin' around town, i wouldn't worry about weight too much........at that price including tires i could see it hard to pass up

Nice looking, I'm not lovin' the wheel bulge outside the tire width, but over all a sweet look. I might be kickin' myself though if I DID curb rash one or more and had to look at it for years. The price is nice and they do look sweet but long term I think you might be happier not having to worry as much about screwing em' up. But maybe in your area the curbs aren't as high so it's not much of an issue, in which case I'd go for it.

I think they would look good on a porsche. I agree with Chiptle18. The max calls for deep dish or flat style rims. But they don't look bad by any means. Take what I say with a grain of salt b/c I ride on stock 16 SE 5 spoke as I am too poor for rims LOL. Maybe one day......

Those wheels look sweet.
If your going to be able the keep the 16s then go for it.
Use the 16's for track and the MoMo's for street and style.
As far as curb rash goes, you shouldnt have to worry about it.
Youve never curbed your current wheels and these should be the same. I personally dont see how anyone curbs their wheels. All you have to do is be carefull. Ive never curbed my wheels.

Something about them give me the love and hate feeling.
If they werent' MOMOs, would you still like them?
They look kinda busy... In that you can't go wrong with them, but you can do better
Doesn't rock my boat, but hey it's your call.
