Axle suggestions

Hey guys, I am going to be replacing my axles pretty soon and I was wondering what most of you have done, and are you happy with them. I was thinking about getting raxles, because they are new, not refurbished, but at the same time it would cost $270 for both axles. Thanks.

good point, I just don't want to get stuck with poor replacements that I will be replacing again in a couple of years or so. Are the ones you got new or refurbished? I am kinda hesitant about going refurbished.

NmexMAX.. I did read that, I guess I should have been more clear.. Are raxles axles really new? I was always under the impression that they were refurbished.

driveshaftshop

I put new axles on my GTI over the winter that I got from driveshaftshop.com and they appear to be quality. They were pretty inexpensive too.

The axles from driveshaftshop.com are way expensive for the maxima.

they are a lot cheaper than stock replacements from nissan, but who buys those anyway?

I was mis-informed and thought you were boosted

sry for being somewhat OT but I replace my passenger side axle last week and now I have tranny fluid leaking from that side, I'm thinking is axle/differential seal got damage from me waiting so long to change out the axle. I read in the FSM that theres a puller for the seal, where can I get that or do I even need it to replace the seal?

that seal should always be replaced whenever you change axles. However if you do not install it carefully you will keep getting leaks

I would of replaced it but I didn't do the work myself. Looks like I may have fix it myself now since it wasn't done. Any special tool needed to pull or install the seal?
