Please read, this may affect those of you in the Philadelphia area
Hello, you may have remembered a post of mine 2 months back about the accident I had. The accident was caused by a faulty dealer repair under warranty of my transmission, which caused my car to lock up on I-95 in busy traffic. If you want the full story, search for the post "And then, cars suddenly weren't as important as they used to be."
Well, it has been over two months since the accident occurred, and my dealer, Peruzzi, has not done a single thing to resolve the issue. They have not admitted fault for the transmission lockup, and in my opinion, and surely many others' as well, there is no doubt that the transmission failure was caused by a faulty repair (Read the thread for details). Supporting the idea that the dealer is at fault are the words of another Nissan dealer, who is currently in the process of repairing my transmission (decided by my father and I, with no suggestion from Peruzzi). He believes that the mechanics who worked on my tranny before the accident would not have the experience to replace the input bearing, which requires careful adjustment to other parts of the transmission while doing so. He asserts that the work was only to be done by specialists (which he has on location, that's why I took it there) or the entire transmission to be replaced since after all, this was under warranty, with no cost to me, or the dealer (besides labor). Anyway, I just wanted to update everyone on my situation, and more importantly warn those who want to conduct business with Peruzzi. Let this experience be in your mind when you take your vehicle to be serviced there or you want to purchase a car from them.
Peruzzi Nissan- Langhorne PA, on business Route 1
They also have a Pontiac/Buick/GMC and a Mitsubushi dealership located down the road as well.
The dealer that is helping me with this is Cherry Hill Nissan.
Also, I have not received any support from Nissan Motor Co. Ltd., and I believe that they should have settled something with me.
I hope I don't come across as angry or venting at these dealers, I just believe that they don't deserve your business, and that others could have bad experiences with them as I have. Thank you for taking the time to read such a long post.

also bought my car at Peruzzi
Let me tell you; I hate Peruzzi Nissan!!! Before they make the deal with you, they will have their lips stuck on your ***. But after you purchase, they are just plain ******. The sales manager there, Mike, was the biggest ***** of all. After he made the deal with me, he completely blew me off, started to talk **** under his breath. What a complete jerk! The worst part on my experience there was that Mike was telling me the car is "great, rock solid, will last for yrs". But when I went to sign the deed, the guy in there was trying to sell me the warranty, he was saying how a Nissan is just a Nissan, you dont know how reliable this car is. At this point I'm like WTF!!! At one side, The manager is telling me the car is bulletproof and over here, this guy is saying my car is a POS. After I bought the car, a week later they had me back in there to sign the right deed because the one I signed before was the wrong one, their mistake. I did not get an apology or even a thank you for driving 20 miles there to sign something which wasn't my fault to start with. I think that was my first and last purchase from Peruzzi Nissan.Sorry I'm off topic here but I just wanted someplace to vent. Thanks

hear you dude
Before I moved to Philly the dealer I bought the car literally said bring your car to us before you move I'd hate to see you get scr**** down there. The svc adjustor was female and really acted like she cared about the customers, seriously? Probably she had to work harder to get ahead in the auto environment and that was her way, by trying to promote cust sat.
Anyway, I took my car to that dealer by the airport, which will remain nameless. I literally almost had an altercation with that fat dude. He refused to service my car under warranty and then told me my dashboard was aftermarket not factory. Due to all the yelling some salesman went out to my car and came back and told the service manager he was wrong, it had a genuine Nissan logo on it. So to save face he had to refuse more warranty work--he claimed that the fact that the back of my driver's seat fell off is not covered under warranty--it's an "adjustment." My car had 22,000 at the time by the way so obvoiously the 12K adjustment warranty had expired. The fight broke out when I reached over the counter and grabbed my keys and walked away--he told me to give him back the keys or he will call the cops. Since I know how angry those cops get when they can't eat their Tastykake chocolate glazed in peace I gave him the keys back. Now he deliberately didn't complete my paperwork, so I put my feet up on his glass table and talked on my cell phone. I called him dude and bo'(boss) which I guess incensed him more. When he still took more time I told him comon, you still trying to add up the other paperwork? Let's do it bo'.
Anyway someone at work told me to go on the Main Line and there the treatment was much different--they could care less that I bought the car in another state, they wanted the business. So it's too bad that this Perogi dealer or whatever it's called treats you that way after you've purchased several cars from them. But what is weird is sometimes it's that way--a friend at work heard how much I got off list on my 1998 (just under 6 grand) so he went to get a similar deal--they told him flat out no, and wanted to charge him $1400 more for a car that didn't even have leather! This dude was 53 and bought over 10 cars from them too, he was ****ed. Sometimes it pays to not know them, so they don't get too comfy with that jokey s***. Go to a stranger and sometimes they have to act professional. Other times, like the girl at the original dealer, you get good service for being an original customer. It just depends. But we all know Nissan service does tend to be not that great. Good luck.

Erie Insurance Co.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention that Peruzzi's insurance company, Erie, also is doing a big fat nothing to resolve this. They send out someone to give an estimate on the transmission about a month and a half ago, and guess what, still no estimate.
