help Pioneer AVIC-N2 or alpine

sup all.
well i was set to get the AVIC-N2. i can deal with the fact that you cant watch DVD's while you drive.
then ppl started telling me not to get it and go with the alpine Dvd/Navi combo.

i currently have pioneer DEH-8400mp deck and 12 cd changer in the trunk
so far been pretty satisfied with the setup.

any thoughts? whats better?
Maybe Don could answer since he's the guru

P.S. btw are AudioBahn 12" subs any good?

What do you want it to do? DVD's, MP3's? Also, we need a price range, how much are you willing to spend on the HU?

With the Eclipse, a simple grounding of the E-brake wire allows you to watch DVD's. The Pioneer units have something built into the unit that will not allow DVD's to be watched while driving.

Sorry, i cannot discuss price, ask Don.

100% positive. I bought the 5425 for $199 and the 5435 was $299. i specifically remember it because i remember thinking its an extra $100 for just the remote and a AUX input. i got it from The Stereo Shop. Not sure if those stores are everywhere but it was the ONLY eclipse dealer in my area. BTW, its not an AVN. the 5435 is a single din cd/mp3 player. sorry, didn't know u meant the avn 5435.
