Thoes with Carbon fiber hoods do u have this prolblem
I have a carbon fiber hood and then it rains or when i wash it alot of water gets in side my engine bay...because to me it doesnt sit right when closed the sides are up alil and this allows water to go in side....can i do somthin to prevent this by maybe putting rubber on the on sides of the hood....also if u have a CF hood do u guys have hood struts? cuzz i dont can any one tell me how to hook them up..........
Don't install hood struts, the pressure from them when you go to shut the hood could destroy the hood. But as with the water, I have this problem, but doesn't seem like it's enough water to do any damage. But I'm guessing some black rubber hose or something can be glued or something to the sides to help seal it.
my hood struts were shot to hell on my old hood so i risked it and put them on the cf hood, they are perfect, but on warm days they still slowly creep down. as far as the watter thing, see if you can get some of that ruber/foam type trim and line your inner fender, basicly it would look like the stuff that lines your trunk area or doors.
