Can anyone rebuild VTCs??
Can anyone rebuild VTCs??
I plan to do some surgery on my 92 SE (VE30DE) in the near future, and would like to put the VTC chatter to rest once and for all!!! Can anyone here rebuild VTCs (properly!)? If so, what would be the cost? Also, any web sites depicting the process of removing the VTCs would be useful.

I love it. Nice way to improvise.

)Putting it back together I could amost do with my hands, so I figured I would give taking it apart a shot and walla, did 3 more with just a hammer, some wood, a socket and small secton of 2.5" piping. Was much easier and smoother.
I think Mike and Aaron used the that same method from the pics I saw
Where do I find the parts to rebuild the VTCs, now that I feel semi-confident that I can take them apart...???
Would any of you folks that have done it before be interested in rebuilding mine if I sent them to you?? I'd feel better if the rebuild was being done by someone with some experience!!! thx, Mike

You might want to disable it per Craig B's write up

There is also a link on there to show how to rebuild it.

Rebuilding the VTCs is cake compared to the work involved with actually removing / replacing them. If you don't have a factory nissan fsm, don't even think about doing this kind of work. Others will atest to this. Or will they?
