I believe that is for the car interior, like how race cars have those cages to ensure saftey to the drivers, that is basically what it is I believe...

this does nothing to provide safety to the drivers. it is not a roll cage. it goes where your rear seat passengers feet would go. over the hump in the middle from door to door just to provide a little mid-body stability. i haven't heard much talk about this, so not sure if it has a reputation to make it worth your time/$$. $50, not bad, but i don't think you would feel it.

i think it'll look a little bit ricey. and besides, you'll have to drill through the carpet somewhere to connect to the body. guinea pig it for us!!!

Looks to me like this would only be for hard core drifters yo, or race cars, seems pointless on a street car or even the weekend race car, my vote waste of money but if you get it and like it then i'm happy for ya

i personally do'nt think its gonna do nething since its on the floor, you have a chasis to hold ur car together, tell u the truth, if ur car was gonna move from the bottom where the ENTIRE CHASIS IS, get a new car!!!! if this was on top nead the headrests then i'd say get it. but other than looks dont get it, i mean think about it. people who has to sit back there is gonna now have a lil uncomfortable foot rest..-= 0

i rode in a civic with something like one of these before and after at a track and we could feel the difference in high speed, unbanked turns where a little oversteer was present. hope that helps so you can apply to your driving application

basically looks like all it does is make people think you have a roll cage or something else thats really expensive stabilizing your car. waste of money, i'm sure you can find a much more effective way to spend your cash than that

waste of money. Just because it made a slight difference on another model of car, doesnt mean its going to do anything for us. With the configuration of the car, I highly doubt any increase in stiffness will be noticed by the driver (or actually occur at all) Can you say placebo effect?

i agree, its a complete waste of money for the average driver on this forum, although i would like to see what it does on our car. during the test runs in the 7th gen civic we track frequently, we actually overtorqued the bolts holding the bar to each side of the chassis, and actually stripped a stud during a run on one side. so, they actually *do* do something, whether or not you can feel it in certain circumstances is another story
