they will be sending my stock 97 ECU to Techtom in Japan for research, and to see if there could be a possible rom upgrade for the 97 chip.

so people won't have to do the 96 chip in the 97.

the 2k ecu has been in japan for over 4 monthes and they're still working on it.

so. that just tells you how long it takes to crack the code and research it..

Hey Cheston - any speculation as to the diff between a '97 chip and the '96 one that was done before (running in a '97 5sp). I haven't received my chip from Robert yet for dyno work.

 

well the "old" chip was a 7 hp gain and 15 lb of tourqe, I hope this one is going to be more becuase its just for the 97. I would flip my lid if its like 20 hp. I need them horses.

 

Well, if they could figure out how to get rid of OBDII for the 97, and then tweak the fuel maps, that would be cool.
