Car seats and carpet

does anyone know where I can get new carpet for my 91 gxe max and new leather seats or used but in mint condition. I was thinking junkyard but, what do you guys think? Also is it hard to replace the carpet and front seats?

Im not sure if they do carpets also but Katzkin (spelling??) has some really nice looking leather for our cars. awsm66 has a couple of pics of his Katzkin seats on his cardomain page I know. If your lookin to save money though then take a few minutes and call a few yards around you and see what they have to offer.

I dont imagine that replacing the carpet would be hard rather than just annoying and labor intensive. Ive never done it but I think a few people on here have.

I've never done the carpeting, but from what I understand It is fairly simple. I read on a site somewhere how you do it. You have to pull out the seats, and then along the side interior there is a border that I believe is either screwed on or you just pry it off. The border is what is holding the carpet down. After you get that border off you just pull off the carpet. If it's the stock carpeting I believe it will just come right out. Otherwise you may have to use a little bit of force to get it out if a glue or some sort of adhesive was used in the install. If adhesive was used you should try to clean off the floor under the carpet as best you can before putting the new carpet in. As far as seats. I wouldn't go and buy new ones all together unless you want to shell out a lot of money or your seats are completly broken. Or of course if you can get a good deal obviously. If your seats are working well mechanically then I would just by some covers. I don't really like those covers you get at like autozone or places like that. But there is this seller on e-bay who has some really nice ones, I don't know anything about the seller or the product itself. I have never bought anything from them. But the seat covers look really spiffy, and they are way cheaper than buying new seats, if you want to go for that leather look. They have a few different color selections, and if you want to pay the extra $130.00 (I think?) plus shipping you can get a seatcover for the backseat as well. They are supposed to fit and look like the original seats, supposidely. Here is the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW. Good luck.

well imma prolly do the junkyard call and if that does not work then those seat covers on ebay look nice. but as far as the carpet my only problem with it is it has alot of stains would there be anyway to clean it or is there a service that would clean it?

I think you may have that backwards. I have the original window sticker from mine and it doesn't show them as an optional ad-on. Yes, I do have them, btw.

My power folding mirrors came from a skyline. Pretty easy to do if you can figure out the wiring.
