Removed Vinyl From Pillar
just used a razor blade, it took sometime, i had to be very careful not to cut into the flawless paint underneath. after all the vinyl was removed i used paint thinner to remove all the glue that was on the paint and thats it, next i put some wax on it and wow does it look good the paint under there was covered for 9 year and wow i have to say it looks wonderful
I was amazed when I did it on mine. It's a nice subtle touch, lots of people dont ever notice, but it makes a difference to me. Much better than the faded black crap that was there after 8 years.

I've heard before that some or all of the black ones dont have this vinyl, a friend of mine has had 2 black max's and one had the vinyl and the other didnt. Someone may have already removed it, but we're not sure. But it looks good on any color maxima with this done. Easy to do, and most of all it's free so I recomend it to everyone, just be careful not to scratch the paint underneath.
Ooohh...interesting! Do you have any pics from a little farther away? I'd like to see what it looks like in relation to the rest of the car. Does the paint that was underneath match up with the rest of the car? I'm just wondering if it would be a little brighter because its never been faded by the sun...
