Temp gauge wonder.

It's getting pretty hot here and I really want to know for sure If I'm running hot.
20 percent of the time the gauge read normal, and the rest of the time it says i'm over heating, or running ice cold.

I know fo sure it's the temp gauge, cuz I tap the gauge cover and it wackes out. Can i change out the gauge or clean it?

The gauge installation/connecting screws may have bad contact to assy folio. Otherwise its gauge internal windings have a cut - its dying; swap that gauge from another assy. No other maintenance u can do.
