Step-by-step...

1. Call up Rhys Millen.
2. Find a really wet and slick area to drive on(no public streets). A closed mall parking lot would rock, but the rent-a-cops will bug you.
3. Tell Rhys to get in the driver's seat and drift your Max.

Instant smiles!

If you have the extra time do it like in the commercials and drive out to the salt-flats. You wont have any trouble power sliding

The easy way is to rip off 2 trays from a local fast food place(They must be plastic). Then put them under the rear wheels, yank the E-brake and drive around in a open area. Another easy way to learn(how I tried) is to go to a cement parking garage after it rains. The cement is really smooth(even better if its sealed) and slick when wet. Makes for easy drifting

It works best when there is snow on the ground.
Since it's summer go find a wet surface to do it on.

i used to do this in the winter when it snowed by going about 25-30 mph in an empty parking lot and pulling the e-brake and turning the wheel really hard. this probably was not very good for my car and i only did it a couple of times and don't plan on doing it anymore.

p.s. you can also do donuts in the snow in reverse

Speaking of rent a cops, i tried TWICE last week to get them to chase me. I had just got out of DRIVEN at like 2 o'clock in the morn on friday and i was all pumped so i pulled up next to rim burnt out, going the wrong way down a one-way and barreled around a corner smoking my tires the whole time and he did nothing. I was so in the mood for a high speed chase through the lot. I tried again the next night and still nothing. They suck

I thought it was funny to do drifts in my car. I did em a few times till i got pretty good and did one long one that flat spotted my tires. The 30 mile drive home sucked since both tires were flat spotted and rode like crap.

Ronin Rocks!

- Yeah, definitely see Ronin. It is the absolute best movie in the world for high quality car chases. The DVD has an option for the director voice-over - and believe me, this guys knows his cars.
- Like, all the actors went to racing school, the cars all had racing tires for the chase sequences, and the 5 Series BMW in one chase was powered by a V-12 from the 7 Series. There was so much torque that they had to replace the tranny, like three times.

- I've actually gotten my car to drift reasonably well without the e-brake. My RSB is set back about as far as it can go (just below the rear axle), so if I take a corner anywhere from 20+ mph and keep the wheel turned past when you need to start correcting, and then lay off the gas, the weight transfer makes the rear very light and it'll just come around. You have to stay of the gas, otherwise it'll just fix itself.
- Obviously, you need a RWD car to do really impressive power slides, but we can still have some fun through the e-brake or a good oversteering suspension set-up.

Yeah I liked the chases in that movie... The best thing about them is that all the chases were done for real and not computer animated or anything. cool stuff..

RSB

I love my RSB i have it set just right for everything. I did i u-turn burnout when i was leaving the gym late one night and i hit it perfect and the back end just came around and looked perfect, if it wasn't for the smoke from the front tires the kid said he would have thought i had a RWD car!

sure

As far as i know they can't do anything, they are just security guards. They can throw you out or try to ban your specific vehicle but that's it. They have no municipal power to give monetary fines. Just don't let them chase you too long or they might call the real PoPo.
