4th Gen Sun Visor

My friend owns a 4th gen... and so does my ex-gf and her mom.... they all have garage door openers on their visors and i dont

Are the visors a direct fit from 4th gen? I'd like to pick one up at the junk yard for my car if they are.

Well it wouldnt be a direct fit because you would have to wire up the garage door part of it...

It's called the home link

The visor can fit, Donald did it, but it isn't a direct fit so it might not look the best.

Personally I just bought the home link module itself and did it that way. Wiring was easy, 3 wires... 12v constant for memory, 12v key on (this actually makes it work, it's smart so if your car is parked outside someone cant just break your window, hit the button and gain entry to your garage/house) then ground.

routing those wires is gonna be a real PITA - but if you're up for it them more power to ya...i was thinking somewhere in the center console near the air temp sensor vent..but not sure how obstructed the transmitter can be

i was just gonna splice into the wires existing in the door. My unit is bulky so the spots to put it are really limited but maybe in the storage compartment under the deck in the second DIN on the bottom or MayBe the top out of sight?? at least for now until i can get the courage to cut my door apart.
