I guess it would depend on what you put in it.

I'm serious if there is drugs in it obviously its illegal if you have a title to a car in it its legal I would assume. Right or wrong. And if you don't know if they are legal or not go to your local Safe retailer and see if they sell them.

Why go through all the trouble? If you are trying to hide something and you get pulled and get searched he will see that and figure something is up. There are good hiding places in the maxi though.

My personal favorite is under the shifter trim. You can easily stash a pound of whatever you like...

You can also pull off the map lights fairly easy too for a smaller area that would most likely never be looked at by your friendly local law enforcement.

Thank you for an honest answer. but I guess none of you have seen like a HIDDEN stash box as in a push button AC vent or empty prank radio with codes in the numbers that pop out or some sort of other HIDDEN or DISGUISED compartment. I have been in cars with them just never bothered to ask where they got it at and now I am curious as how to get one I'm not necesssarily trying to hide something illegal.

Why can't we get more teens that aren't idiots coming to this site? It's like that other idiot who asked if it was possible to have sex in a Maxima. Let's just say that if he couldn't figure that part out, his girl isn't really in for a treat IMO.

not that i have much to stash, but the drivers side front fender has lots of open space in the front. just pop the bottom guard and mount some sort of container. its not as easily accessable as a hidden compartment behind an ac vent, but you could stash a lot of **** up there.

well im sure he is looking for a place when he gets pulled over. Well i could say i wasn't always an angel, but my one buddy on his corsica had one of the vents he could pull off and stash stuff. Cops are smart these days, i got a DUI and they search everything, even under my cup holder. This was even out in the sticks, what i say is don't do anything when driving its just a risk that well cost you more time and money.

if you have a removable face plate on ur deck... you can always stash some in there and then close up ur face plate.

or you can make a pocket inside the seat with a zipper.

I believe that it needs to be custome made by a shop. I do'nt think that you will be able to find it online. cause if you can, it kinda be pointless since the cops will know where to look in your car. -=) you can wire however you want. such as, putting the blinkers on while stepping on the brake and the ac on. You need to tap into all those wires in order to send a signal for it to open. but lemme warn you, if you're car does get impounded, and illegal substances are found, they will tear apart you're car and no matter how good it was hidden, they will find it since they have dogs that can sniff out narcoticcs. You will be in much deeper trouble if you have that in your car. I'd say just bring enough where you can EAT IT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the car audio & security we use to make stash boxes. For the owner to hide his lunch money and things like that. This is years ago and we were getting any where from 500 to 1200 for motorized pop out panels. Not much of that going on anymore. People aren't worried about getting caught. They carry there piece on them like cowboys these days.

why dont you just get a box with a lock on it. A cop needs a warrent to search it unless your stupid enough to let him.
Cops dont seem to understand the "press to open" ashtray,

Read up on your rights. You can have something as simple as a backpack and put stuff in it. Cops are not allowed to search it unless you give them permission or they have a warrant. It pays to know your rights, you can get out of alot of bad situations.

Word. No cop can just walk up to you and just search your property on a whim, be it your car , crib, or anything within. They have to have a warrant to search your car, and if they have that, well, you've probably got bigger problems than whatever you're trying to hide.

A word of caution.....be careful where you drive and /or park. If you go to a ballgame, amusement park, or other big event, the authorities might have the right to search your ride without a warrant, with a parking pass or ticket serving as consent for them to do so.

Now I'm no law expert by no means, but what about probable cause? I thought that gave them enough to just search you....

One of my friends got stopped for making a right turn at an intersection with no turn on red. Then the cop told her they needed to search her car simply because she was driving through a 'shady' area of town really late at night. Of course they didn't find anything, but it was just a big hassle.

Probable cause is a completely different story. That is like a cop walking up to a car you rolling down your windows and smoke pouring out. That is probable cause and basically they can search you and your car now.

They can't even search your car without a warrant. Probable cause does apply when talking about a car, but even with that, if they find anything, they have to justify in court why they searched. If the probable cause doesn't hold up in court, then the charges get thrown out as inadmissable evidence. A "shady part of town" won't count as probable cause to search your ****.Don't buy cop's lame-brain excuses for "probable cause" to search your car...they can't arrest you for saying no.

Probably come up with some bad-cop B.S. .....If you read car and driver's "Hauled Before the Magnistrate" stories (on Caranddriver.com) there is a story where a lawyer used the fifth when the cop asked him how fast he was driving . Theres wasn't much they could do , other than threaten him.
