which y pipe is most recommended??
hi, i was just wondering what would the best y pipe be for the money ? i have about 250 to spend and i was going to save up for the cattman but i would like to know peoples opinions. Between the warpspeed, Budget, and cattman. What would you guys say is the best overall y pipe? Like fittment and how thety sound and if their flex section happens to rip. I know the warpspeeds y pipes flex section was an issue bcause it kept ripping ? Is it fixed in their newer releases ? Please let me know what you guys thnk.
I have the same car as you - mine is a 5-speed. I have a K&N panel filter and a stainless steel Budget y-pipe that I had installed last June. There were no fitment issues and I have no bees in the can. The Budget y-pipe is a very impressive part to behold.
There is no discernible noise difference from OEM at idle or when cruising. There is a bit of a growl at WOT which I quite like and the performance benefits are certainly felt above 4,000 rpm.
If you buy one, store your OEM y-pipe away safely in case you ever need it for emissions testing or any other reason. I haven't had to go through emissions yet, but will ensure my car has been run for some time and is warmed up before I go through.

Like some said.. If you plan on keeping the car for some years, Get a Budget Stainless Steel Y-pipe so it wont rust from the salt and so. If you plan on selling it soon, Go with warpspeed. If you want cattman y-pipe, then hey go with that. Basically
120-180 range = Warpspeed then
Ur in the 200-280 Range = BSSY pipe or Cattman(if you can find one around that price)
300+ = Cattman..

I believe that is the website. You should also check out the thread on the next page: Poll: Warpseed vs Buget y-pipe, to see what is said about each.
Since you plan on keeping the car for awhile, don't buy an aluminized y-pipe. I would opt for the Budget stainless steel y-pipe, but I am a satisfied, biased owner.

i heard there were a lot of issues with the stone racing y pipes and have been told by a few members not to get one and i have heard good things about both the cattman and the budget y pipes but for the price you want to pay I would suggest going with a budget y-pipe
