Gauge faces dont work

Hey guys, sorry if I sound like a noob or something, but I sprained my ankle yesterday so I have no chance of getting outside to check this out. Everything inside my car works, except for the gauge lights and the shifter position lights. Is there a fuse just specifically for the gauge lights and the lights for the shift positions (P, N, D... etc.), or could it be that switch that dims the lights (I know that if it's not plugged in, the gauges will not work, but I don't know if that applies for the shifter lights.

Very well could be. I'd check the fuse first. Usually under "gauge panel" If the fuse is fine, check the dimmer switch. If it's still plugged in... you have a lot of lights burned out.

Is the fuse located in the fuse box inside the car? Because I looked a few days ago really quickly and I was unable to find it. Or is it under the hood?
Thanks man

On a 4th gen... not quite sure. But usually for the gauge lights it's inside the car.

I've been known to knock the dial down to naught on occasion. Simple and stupid suggestion is to make sure your dimmer dial isn't set to zero.

Yeah I thought it may have been that as well... but it's not the problem... thanks for the suggestion.
