When cleaning CV Joint... Brake Clean or Engine Degreaser?
Hey People.
Motorvate suggests that you use a brake cleaner to remove the grease after dipping it in to turpentine.
Could I use engine degreaser instead?
What's the difference between the two?
(how does wd40 differ?)

as long as it cleans the joint, it doesnt matter what you use. You could use soap and water if you wanted to, but it would take all day.
For cleaning dirty greasy things, nothing beats brake cleaner. I dont even use carb cleaner anymore if the throttle body is off the vehicle.. I just use brake cleaner on it.
I buy brake cleaner by the case though.
