yay more problems for me even with a new engine...

Well anyway i recently did a tune up on my car, ngk plats oil etc... Well now alot of the times it doesnt start. And if it does start the idle is sporadic it shakes the car violently and sometimes it doesnt. I checked the fuel injectors for a"clicking noise" and i hear it clicking. Does anyone know what the problem could be? If i give it gas it always starts up.

check all coil packs individually. With the car idling, unplug your coil packs (the connector) one at a time, and listen for a noticable/audible drop in your engine rpm. If your engine speed doesn't drop, then you've found the problem cylinder. Next try swapping out coil packs from another cylinder. check spark plug (make sure its not fouled). Test injector for correct ohm's (don't remember what it is off of the top of my head).

Hope this helps.

Go over everything you did and make sure everything is plugged in correctly.

I once left the MAF sensor unplugged after working on the intake and wooo what a sight that was.

ok ITS NOT the coil packs ive taken them all from a friend whos coil packs work perfectly and they still make my car idle like ****. But anyway this is what happens it starts off good and then about 5 minues into the drive i come to a stop lite and my idle begins to drop. It then makes the car stutter and then catches it self and brings it back up.

They are gapped but you'd be an idiot not to check them to make sure. If it is the plugs, I hope it's that simple, you deserve everything that is happening to your car.

You could try raising your idle. Don't ask, it's in the stickies.

the idle it self is fine plus i know how to do it. Its something else. Like the TPS or something. Because it usually drops to 500 rpm or lower and then it starts to shake and it catches it self back up to about 700

It sounds like its the sprk plugs. Take them out reinstall them or buy new ones.

Ouch. That's very harsh imho. I've done dumb things in my life too. Once I caused our firm to be fined 18,000 in a matter of 9 minutes. Was not carelessness, it was something I was not familiar with but what was done all the time by others.

My boss did not say I deserved it, or the firm deserved it. He simply said I better learn and if it happens again I'm fired.

Long story short is that we're all gonna make mistakes in life--just learn from them.

to what killcrap said. You can clean out the IACV/TB and see if that helps. While you working in that area, check the TPS (using a multimeter and making sure the voltage increases smoothly from closed to WOT - the haynes describes this nicely). Check and re-check all the hoses/clamps.

Bad plugs as in, not gapped properly???? Like Dave Sz suggested, check the plug gaps. I have been buying plugs since I started driving my first car at 16 y/o. Everytime I install a set of plugs, I always check the gap even if it is specifically for your car. It's always a good practice to do so to eliminate little annoying problems like yours. Don't assume......as a matter of fact, never assume when it comes to automotive stuff. An improperly maintained vehicle is a dangerous thing on the road which could endanger lives! Didn't mean to get mellow-dramatic on ya.

using another brand might cause problems with the coils.
