thats still not "true duals". to have true duals you have to have 2 pipes going all the way back, one from each bank of cylinders. so it would be 3 into 1 pipe all the way back and the other 3 into another pipe all the way back.
but honestly theres really no need to do this. anything can be done with enough money but why bother? you wont see any higher gains in performance, and with the money spent on making these you could probably buy a new IM or even FI and have much more performance then true duals could provide.
stick with one muffler-single tip its JDM yo!
Which means two cats on each side. Like you said, its too costly for minimal gains. Getting a 00VI and other necessary components is probably cheaper than "true duals".

There are certain items on a vehicle where cost is a serious factor--even China at this juncture cannot help. They are ABS brakes, catalytic converters, xenon headlamps, and navigation. If it is cost prohibitive with a mfg., who has tremendous buying power, it is very unlikely that an "enthusiast" can do it. Even if it's physically accomplished, it will be even worse than the fake dual exhaust that the 6th gen has, i.e. rob the motor of even more power.
We have to love that shot of the Starsky and Hutch car airborne--you see the true duals the way it used to be, when our grandpas had that glimmer in their eyes....

This is the other split everyone is talking about. If you get it done, DO NOT go to anyplace cheap thats not going to give you at least 2.25" piping or tell you they can only run stock piping because there is not much room. Mines is 2.25" and the spare tire well wasn't even touched. It was about 300 w/tip. It's a Flowmaster 80 series with 4" APC Racing Stainless Steel tips.
ya me two....lol
anyways the only reason your well wasnt crushed is because you have straight piping going as the second exhaust, you can fit another of the exhausts from the right into the space provided on the left w/o crushing the well
you paid $300 for install of a straight pipe with a fake tip............................sorry

Where exactly do you see a fake tip? The pipe is hooked up to the 2nd outlet on my Flowmaster(dual outlets on one side, single outlet on the other). Both are fully functional. It's just a modified way the Accord V6 has duals. CleanMax the only difference you have is that you decided to use a fireball muffler whereas I decided to run a straight pipe because it made no sense for me to have two Flowmasters because of the lovely NYPD (excessive noise). For 300 I had a new hi-flow cat, catback and muffler put on. Oh and by the way your muffler is crooked.....

no its one pipe until it gets to the back then splits......true duals still exist though....350z 300zx mustangs all have true dual.....and i knwo what u wanna say...they have a x-pipe that connects them......thats a benifit it evens out pressure and helps low end torque....
thats not ture you have to buy the aftermarket exhaust to make the 350z a dual exhaust..its connects back up by the y pipe and its one pipe all the way to the back where it splits in 2 to look dual
In the Maxima / i30 you cant fit a true dual. No room at all. The best you might
be able to do is put on side pipes on the car (sort of look retarded tho)
The mid pipe runs from the cat around the gas tank and over the rear axle.
On the opposite side you have the gas tank snuggling the chassis and after that
you got the gas fill, vent lines etc. You REALLY dont want to go there.
Thinking a bit more... you MIGHT be able to do is do a split off the cat and sort of stack the pipes one on top of the other and then over the rear axle. No performance gain whatsoever. If you just want the look, just put a setup similar to KRMaxima21 and you got the look with a little functionality.
