Sunroof Wind Defletor Removal?

this is for anyone who had the wind deflector on their sunroof and has removed it. i think that it will look better with it off, but does it become louder or windier in the cabin? i'm planning to take it off today and see what it's like, but just curious on anyones experience.
it think it may look good on a black or darker car, but not on beige.

oh, and to remove it, is it just those two or so screws that need to be removed. i'll take a closer look in a bit.

Are you referrring to the aftermarket plastic wind deflector or the pop-up one that comes with the car? The pop-up one does not stop the wow/flutter experienced when a window is rolled down which is why I bought the aftermarket one.

I like the aftermarket wind deflector and won't remove it. As far as the one that came with the car goes, it has a purpose if you don't have an aftermarket wind deflector. Leave it on.

Just those 2 screws... depending on how long its been on, you might have some scuffing/marks/paint mismatches under it.

Whenever I take the off the deflector it leaves marks where the rubber met the roof.

yes only 2 screws...i think she looks sexier with the deflector. yes its loud and windier as hell without it. FYI my car is a QN0 and I couldnt make a better choice when i bought it....specially once i get my windows 20% tinted. Perfect combination

So what you are trying to tell us is that your car is Arctic White Pearl. My car is Black Emerald and I think the wind deflector looks great on it, as it also does on Black Cat's car.

These wind deflectors have been around for years. I had one on my 1973 BMW 2002 tii when I bought it in 1977.

So it appears you have the paint codes completely committed to memory. I don't be thinking so!

What I was getting at is that most .orgers wouldn't know what color QNO is off the top of their head and could care less. Your rebuttals defy logic!

Black Cat, you have one bad *** sexy Max, my friend! I like yours and Nismotic's a lot. I wish I had the resources to make mine look as hot as the both of yours.

I don't know if we'll be able to live with BlackCat at the next meet if he keeps on getting this attention. Hopefully he'll have his SC back up and running by then.

BlackCat is actually quite a likeable fellow, despite himself!

Checkout his post in the Canada Forum to see what's up with his SC. One thing I must point out, however, is that he isn't bullet proof as his car is an autotragic!
