SOO WEIRD!!! BRAKE PROBLEM AT 35k MILES ALREADY!!!!@$&@&

my maxima is a 2000 5spd w/ only 35k miles and its really weird, i think my brakes are already acting up!! when i am at a hill start i try to roll back on purpose but it doesnt!! this problem just happened yesterday. something's gotta be wrong w/ the brakes. i think the brakes might be locked somewhere or something. any pointers or anything before i get it checked?

i have heard that some 2000 modles may have had problems with rear calipers siezeing up. dont know if its ture but i did have to change one of my rear calipers. you may also want to check ur handbreak, to tight??

try this, get a deep socket (10mm i think) and loosen up that nut in your parking break so that it is closer to the end of the bolt. check to see if it still holds fine when you set the parking brake. the brake might currently be set to tight, so that even when it isnt engaged, it could still be slightly rubbing your rear pads to rotors.
i noticed this on my car when i recently replaced my brakes and rotors.

If your rear brakes are locking up that bad you can usually notice by one of the rotors having a purplish color to them which is caused by excessive heat. Which is true about almost any other metal that's overheated. Another way to determine if your brakes are locking up is to raise the back end just a small amount enough so the rear tires are off the ground and spin the tire/wheel (of course with the e-brake off). It should spin without using force. If a caliper is locking up you'll find that the wheel is much harder to turn. Good luck
