Those with Goodridge SS Lines

I was installing the new brake lines on my 2000 today, and noticed the weirdest thing. The rear lines do not match up with the OEM lines that are on the car. I searched for threads here, and couldn't find one on installing these brake lines. Anyhow, I ended up leaving the OEM ones on the back, and just replacing the front (which fit just fine), but as you can see in these pictures, the part that connects to the strut is BACKWARDS, or so it seems. I could not get them installed on the max. Can anyone here that has had experience with these lines please explain to me if they sent me the wrong part, or if maybe I'm just doing something wrong?

It sounds like they sent you the wrong part, mine went in without a hitch. Out of curiosity, where did you order them from?

EDIT: actually, after looking at the pictures, the guides should be able to slide up and down on the line. I remember having to adjust mine a little bit, but they did go in. Now, if they arent the proper length id say send them back

Ordered them from Nippon Power (www.nipponpower.com). The length of the line is fine, it's the fact that the guide is upside down on the actual line. Take a look at the second picture. You see what I mean? Are they supposed to be that way?

There was a post about this not one week ago. Check back for it...

Also be sure to make sure that you have the SS line properly aligned; members have been experiencing problems with the SS lines rubbing away at the CV boot cover.

that post was about the banjos not fitting, nor having 'notches' like the OEM ones do. These fit just fine, and the length is fine. Believe me - I read the post diligently. This is about the way that the fat end of the guide is at the wrong end. Do you not see what I mean?

*EDIT* also that thread was about Technafit SS lines - the members that had Goodridge lines said that they fit fine in that thread. It was the reason that I went with the Goodridge lines in the first place.

I dont think it matters which end is fat, so long as it fits in the clips. As for the banjos not fitting, well, thats no good. As much as it pains me to say this, order the kit from stillen (they are goodridge lines) and you will get the correct part. Go ahead and return your kit to nippon power.

They look just like the ones I installed last weekend. The guides do slide for fittment, and although it doesnt look "exactly" like stock, it works.
