Hey all, my alternator took a crap, or is on its way out the door.... 113k miles, plus a 900 rms watt system at the *** end of its life, and its going bye bye...my question is, what year maximas alternator will fit my 2k maxima???...... i know alot of the 4th gens have the same motor.... just not sure if the alternator is mounted in the same place and or what not?..... im going to buy it used.....i cant afford the 210$ ticket price autozone and discount have...... or does anyone know of a cheaper place too buy a new alternator???

 

Im not 100% sure but I *THINK* it's possible to use a 4th gen alt. Same block, same belts.... Dunno why it wouldnt fit.

 

4th gen and 5th gen and 5.5 gen will work. i have one from a 2k max.
