Specs on rim lip, what to do?

I have SSR Comp/Type C with the polished lip and they have some specs in the lip. Im not sure if the lip is clear coated or polished? Should I try some cleaner wax, clay bar, paint polish, aluminum polish? What to do?

I'd try clay. What does it look like? Tar maybe? Everything you listed except the aluminum polish will be fine on any finish (even the aluminum polish would probably be fine).

I'm assuming you tried some wheel cleaner first. Then I'd go with the clay bar.

You don't want to use an agressive polish (like Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish) if it's clear coated....and I'm betting that it is. Can you 'feel' the specs? If so you could try to carefully scrape them off with a plastic scraper.

You could try a cleaner polish like Klasse AIO. That won't scratch. Or even an over the counter 'wax', which usually contains a cleaner.

Feels like specs, maybe tar, I'll try the cleaner wax first. Thanks!

Can try some WD40? I used it some tar that got onto my wheels, came right off.
