I see this cheap short shifter on ebay and want to know if anyone knows why its so cheap....im paranoid. Its like $18....and its nismo(or so they say). Thoughts?

 

I would not advise you to go that route. Those shifters, I've heard, are very poor quality and have a good chance of breaking. They may not even be the same as what is shown on the eBay site.

My .02, save your money and buy a shifter that will last and is made from high quality materials. e.g. B&M or Stillen, or even pacesetter. But you get what you pay for.

Even if you do buy it and it doesn't work, you only invested $18, or $25 including shipping, so its not like your going to loose a lot of money, but still, stay away, and I don't think that those shifters are from NISMO either, because if they were, I really doubt that they would be sold for $18. (sorry for the run-on)

 

its not real Nismo, they don't make one for our cars. They have been known to snap in half during hard shifting so you pretty much get what you pay for.

 

you might not lose a lot of money, but you will lose a lot of time because installation on the short shifter on the maxima is not a fast install.
