I noticed lately when I step on the gas either reving it or moving I hear a ticking noise that gets faster as I rev it. I added some oil in today because for some reason it was a little low. The harder I hit the gas the more noise it makes. Could this be a lifter or something? I know my knock sensor needs to be replaced soon but I don't think it has anything to do with it. It sounds like it is coming from the back 3 plugs and not the front. Does anyone know any idea's what this might be. The car has 154,000 on it.

 

Also how much would it cost to get fixed.

 

sure its not anything on the belt?

 

No I don't think so. It sounds like the back of the motor.

 

Fuel injectors?

 

What type of noice would that make?
