I have heard that the 3rd gears from 2001 trannys are stronger. Is it worth rebuilding my 95 and swapping that gear? Is it possible and will I need a new speed sensor?

 

not worth it - pick up a low mileage 2001 trans on car-parts.com for around 6-800 bucks and just swap the whole thing in - while you're at it grab a B&M short shifter to re-center the shifter as it sits a little too forward after the swap.
