I ordered the foglight kit from Dave B (02 fogs, 01 harnesses for the conversion at the bumper), but he also sent me the 02 light stalk (with fog control) to replace the one I have. Since I actually have an 01 GXE, does anyone know if the 02 se light stalk will work? I don't really want to take it out and risk damage to the connector pins by trying to force it in place. Part # is 255405Y700, which lists as an 02 stalk, but two Nissan parts guys couldn't tell me conclusively whether it would work in my 01 or not.....Anyone know more than them on this issue?

P.S. - I also got the relay for the fogs part # 2523079981, is that for the 01 or do I need to send both parts back?

I believe it's all the same wiring for all 5th gener's when it comes to the fog light kit. Some GXE models were the only models that didn't come with the factory fogs, but they are already pre-wired. As far as the stalk between all years, they may be the same, the only way to tell is to take the shroud off the steering wheel column and check the switch. Once you take off the old stalk, see if the pin locations are the same, and slide the new one in. If the new one slides in, check to see if it works. If it does, your done. I know when I had my '95, the light stalk was slightly a different size as compared to the '97-'99 models. But, again, I believe the 5th gener's are all the same.
