HELP!!!! Received Damaged Umnitza DDE's

http://forums.maxima.org/showpost.ph...6&postcount=28

:-(

Any one here had similar happen to them? What is their policy regarding this?

I looked at their website under Shipping and Returns and my heart is sinking because it pretty much says that prior to shipping I shouldve gotten insurance which I assumed like other vendors it was either included in shipping or asked for in the shopping cart. Otherwise I am not clear if they cover any returns on damaged parts!

Can anyone who has experience with Umnitza inc give me some relief!

All I want is intact/working DDE's for which I paid for... fair

Sounds like you have contacted Umnitza already. That is you can really do. I also received 1 broken ring and Matt replaced them at no extra charge to me.

some stinkin birthday gift this was. :-(

nothing against umnitza, i am sure it was due to fedex or the guy who packed the box with WAY TOO MUCH bubble wrap stuff.

Yea, I got 1 broken ring first time I got them, then the replacement he sent broke so he sent me like 3 next time...The trouble is that after I installed everything one of the rings broke so I had to reopen headlight and replace it. MAKE SURE that all rings light up right away when connected, if one takes like 5 min to light up its going to die soon and make him replace it. Trust me, u don want to open a headlight AGAIN a second time.

Guess I'll sort of hijack this thread

Anyone know if Matt is the one who would be answering my e-mails? Because whoever it is, they are about to lose a customer. Im hoping maybe some of my org. brothers can help me out before I start sending nasty e-mails to Umnitza.

Anyway, I am painting my headlights black here ASAP and would love to put in some DDE's while the lights are open. The problem is they don't make a kit for my I30. I was wondering what the dimensions of the rings are for y'alls Maxes to see if it would look good to mount that kit in my headlamps. I would also like to know how they are mounted inside the lamps. Are they free standing? Cuz they look almost stuck on there.

GhettoMax, if you could measure the external diameter of both High and lowbeam rings for me before you do the install that would be great. And also from the flat, unlit part of the ring to the top.

I e-mailed these questions to Umnitza, but they will not release the information. WTF is that!!! Only thing they will tell me is that the Max kit MIGHT work if I want to attempt it. I really hope this is not a good representation of how they normally do business.
