*URGENT*Where did you install you ballast/ignitor.

Hi guys. Well just but a Helios HID kit and am so cinfused about the install. I am having trouble find a place to install the ignots and ballasts. On the driver side can I just mount it to the plastic thing covering the battery, and on the passenger side mount it all the way in the corner to the chasis? I have everythng connected just need to figure out where and how to mount these. The package also came with one set of 3M adhesive for the Ballasts, but nothing for the ignitors. What od you guys suggest I do? Thanks everyone for your help.

Just stick them where ever you have a free spot or run the wire below the head light and install it on the side of the bumper. If you go to page 7 post 195 on the Helios plug and play group deal thread that you bought them from you would see an example on where to install the ballasts.

Also it seems a bunch of peopl are just using the 3M adhsive tape. Is that sufficient? Also any1 have any pics? Iwould really appreciate it.

Guys I have a 2K1 so I have no ballasts yet. There is no space around the headlights on the 2K1 especially on the driver side. Can I just mount it to the plastic hting that covers the battery? Also what adhesive should I use to attach the ballasts and ignitors? Thanks.

I stuck some velcro on one side and the bumper reinforcement has some on it as well. It doesn't shake or anything. I live in Southern Cali and its hot (100+ degrees on many summer days) and no melting

guys this may sound like a stupid question but which velcro did you use? The fastern or just the sticky tape? Also any pics on where to mount them? Should I go underneath the car in order to mount them?

*EDIT* I can see a good place on the bumper to mount them but how did you bring the wire around? The only place seems logical is too close to the radiator which I imagine gets pretty hot so I dont know if thats a good idea because it twould almost be touching it...

Okay wait now im totaly confused. When I unplug the wire that connects ot my original H4 bulb that connector has three slots, two on the sides and one on top. Now th ekit only has two prongs and it wont even fit that connection. Am I doing something wrong? I was under the impression that I just take out my stock bulb and plug that connector into the ignitor? Oh man now i took everything apart and am stuck! Thing is the wire is too short anyway so I dnt understandhow you guys are mounting to the bumper. Welp!

Here are a couple of pics of where I installed my HELIOS 6000K HID H3 ballast and ignitor on my 03 Max. They are attached below the OEM HID headlights.

okay thanks but I am trying to install on '01 and I just cant find space. Oh well I have another problem. It seems that I a missing the wiring harness right? because when I try to connect the ignitor to the plug that used to connec tto the oem bulb it just doesnt fit. The oem plug has 3 prongs while the helios is only 2. Am I missing something here? Also for the battery do I disconnect the negative or positive terminals?

Like where do u attach the red wire too?

what red wire to what positive? The OEM plug on the maxima does not fit into the red plug at all! Hell, if I mount them on the bumper then the cord wont even reach the oem plug so something is def. not right.

This is where I placed my ballasts. The blue ones are for the fog lights (if the igniters are separate from the ballasts they can be mounted far from the lights).

Thansk guys. Igor so its okay to mount them right on the radiator? Isnt it too hot? Also the reason I am having so much trouble is because the kit was missing the wiring harness fo rmy car so I was limited to the reach of the stock plug which was weird becasue it didnt even fit the connection. Im waiting for the guy to send me the harness os I can hook it up. Thanks everyone
