Well price depends upon what you're looking to install. It is very simple actually. The easiest way to do this is give us a budget range. Exactly how much are you looking to spend?

We give you a decent list of equipment that you can choose from. And the we go from there. As long as you know some basic wiring... you'll do fine.

Just installed a phoenix gold x12d4 xenon (Very good sound quality and hits hard as hell) sub today with the factory HU you will just need everything you normally would with if you had aftermarket HU + a line output converter.

two what? line out converters? just one is necessary. and for amps its just a matter of preference. for ie, one 1000 watt amp for 600 dollars or 2 500 watt amp for 300 dollars. its up to you, but 2 class D mono amps i think are more effiicent unless you get one nice amp. its up to you.

i have 2 12" subs and they were done by splicing the back speaker wires. no need to open up the dash.

the converter is about 50-60 bucks around there.......it is a the PAC one.....it basically takes your bose headunit and adds a 4 CH RCA Output. I've done this and it is really easy to install. all you need to do is take out your old headunit unplug the harnesses and add in the PAC adaptor. run your RCA's to where your AMPs are and your done. you just added some RCA's to your BOSE headunit.

i was interested in doing this so i could use my 2 10" audiobahn flame q's and my JBL 1200w amp (from my old 3rd gen max with aftermarket HU and speakers) with my 4th gen stock bose system. is hooking up the PAC adapter just a plug and play process or is there some sort of more difficult wiring/splicing that needs to be done? i dont want to take apart my dash and realize i dont have the knowledge or skill on how to hook the stuff up. i already have the RCA cable and all the other wiring, its just a matter of purchasing the necesary adaptor and hooking it up.

another quick question, would it make more sense to just splice into the rear speakers, or would i be sacrificing sound quality?
