Attn Alarm Installers... Help me find the door lock wires!

I am installing a Viper 791XV in my 2002 SE 6-speed. I am having trouble locating the door lock wires. The only location that I can find them is in the drivers door, like the DEI Wiring Diagram says (orange/black=lock, and orange/blue=unlock in the drivers door module). In this case how do I get them into the car. The wire boot from the door to the body of the car has a plug in the middle. I really don't want to have to drill holes in the body and the door if I don't have to. Is this normal practice among maxima installs? Any information would be helpful.

Yes, you need to drill.
