Nissan Survey

Does it really matter if I give a good or bad survey on how my last service was?

wow, that has some serious ties to 5th gens....anyway, that survey thing definitely doesn't matter...i haven't sent one in ever, and i even got a call once but didn't answer...they left a message and told me to call them back to let them know how the service was...like i would even waste my time

I work at a Saturn/Saab dealer, and those surveys are sent directly to GM.
On our particular survey, an answer of less than "completely satisfied" equals a score of zero, and completely satisfied equals a score of one. GM uses these scores to come up with each stores CSI rating. That's all it's probably for. If you want your dealerships service to improve, fill it out. The dealers do care about their score.
But watch out for follow up calls.
With us, people sometimes rate our service poorer because some of our cars quality has suffered GMs' wrath.

A svc mgr told me it's basically 100% or 0, if even one of those boxes aren't checked off "completely satis." (or whatever is the highest), they might get questioned by Nissan. The dude begs me everytime I go in there to fill out the survey w/the highest marks, so I'm guessing it has to count for something substantial.

I filled out a Pontiac one w/lowest marks for the svc. and got some free stuff (CD case, pen, key chain, leather wallet thing) from Pontiac to resolve it (it wasn't a major problem w/the svc., just a minor complaint).

my issue was that they misdiagnosed the problem, i ended paying twice! initally they said this part failed, then the second time it was another part, so i kinda got ticked off!!!

fill it out unfavorable if that is the case....they don't send them just because they like to waste money on postage and paper.....

YES

Especially if a survey is negative, it goes to the GM. I had a dealer call me and tell me to come back in and they switched out my airbox for FREE because I complained about a missing screw.

Woodfield Nissan in Schaumburg, IL especially reviews them. I've had them call to follow up if my visit was less than 5 stars.

It does matter, cuz i complained and the local dealerships VP sent me a letter and i was like "ooh.. okay!" and he took care of it. So im sure these surveys are not getting ignored.

The surveys won't get ignored but the dealers owner doesn't care at all.... the Service Dept even less... but send it anyway.... I know the dealer is going to call you and that way you can tell them how you feel about it....my .02
