Has anyone found a bra for the AE?

I've got 87K on my maj blue max, 20th AE. As you can imagine, driving around Northern VA has taken its toll on my hood and front bumper. I have inquired about a bra to several places around here but still haven't got a solid solution.

Does anyone know where I can get a bra to fit over the AE lip? Or does any other AE driver have any suggestions? I thought about re-painting, but want to wait and do the whole car at the same time.

I bought a hood bra from Nissan Canada for $49.99 just a month ago. A perfect fit black vinyl and looks great. I think they also have them in 2 pieces for the whole front end.

p/n for hood portion only: 99998-N4076

Also a company called Saddleman used to make after market bras.

The Canada AE does not have the front lip, so this wont work for us.

With only 10,000 made for the US, no one wants to make a bra, unless its custom!

Take a look at a write up housecor did on the clear bra. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/313356 He did this in 2003 so you may want to ask how it's holding up. Also, if your bumper looks like it's been in a war, you should have it painted....if you decide to go with the clear bra. Hope this helps.

well that brings up the issue of fitment as well, because you have to have the clear pieces fit specifically for your vehicle...the current maxima clear bras are not made to fit the AE's and i'm sure there aren't any pre-made ones to fit over that front lip, so regardless if the bra is clear or not, it will be very difficult to find, and will most likely have to be custom made..

Good point. I did not realize that.

I actually spoke to a 3M recommended installer here in Great Falls (CA Tint) about getting that done. My friend has a black WRX with this cover on and when its clean it looks like a scratch all the way across the top of the hood. CA Tint agreed that it didn't look great on darker cars.

Thanks for the replies anyways.

On another note, has anyone with an AE changed out those centercaps on the wheels? I've looked for some at local autoparts stores and the dealer doesnt stock them. I'd like to find a set that matches the polish of the wheels.
