Need opinions! How much can I get for my Maxima?
Fellow Maxima owners,
I'm thinking about selling my Maxima and I was wondering how much you think I could get for it.
Here are the specifics:
It's a 1999 Sterling Mist GLE with 36,000 miles on it. You can see the slight modifications I've done to it in my signature. I would sell the car as is, with the modifications. It's in excellent condition. The wheels, tires, springs, and shocks all have about 1,000 miles on them; still pretty new.
My options are sell it to the dealer (low-ball), or sell it to a private party (ebay, classified ad, friend).
I priced it on Edmunds and got prices ranging from $17-20K, which doesn't take into account the modifications I've done.
What do you people think? How much do you think I could get?
Thanks!

you're not going to get much money, if any at all for your mods. your best bet is to take them off and return it to stock, then sell the mods seperately.
Or at least put your stock wheels back on and sell the AE rims to soemone else on the forum.
Many dealers will deduct value on the car if it doesn't have stock rims- even though they're off another, newer maxima.. the stock rims are part of a trim package on the car, so they consider it a loss if it doesn't have them.
the only other thing to do (which I highly recommend) is to list the car in Auto Trader WITH your mods, but say you'll return it to 100% stock if the buyer wishes.
