not tryin to start anything, but i believe it was more helpful than this post....

like i said before, since they have the same bolt pattern, i'm sure the only thing you would even need to think about would be brake clearance...what size are the sawblades again? 15? if so, it would most likely be fine....are you getting these from a friend, or somewhere online? if it's local, why don't you just try a test fit?

Common sense if its local get a test fit like liver man said. The 4th gen brakes a a tad smaller than the 5th gen, so it may in fact be an issue, but most likely not.

i think 16" is the smallest you can go on a 5th gen. the brakes will be an issue. i got snow tires on 16", and the rims barely clear the brakes.

I have winter tires on '99 sawblades from an se. They are 16" with no fitment problems on standard brakes. Hope that helps!

The 99 SEs had 16" 5-spokes... the sawblades were only available in 15" sizes.... so I assume you have 16" 5-spokes, not sawblades...

Sawblades will fit a 5th gen. My brother wa driving with my blades for a good month or so without any problems. As far as sawblades being 16" that is wrong. 99 SE rims are 5 spoke and 16" not the sawblades.

oops.

Sorry for the misinformation. I just assumed what I had were sawblades. Just goes to show that I'm mostly a 3rd and 5th genner. Thanks for the correction.

I see that the 4th Gen wasn't good enough for you...

At least I don't post as useless stuff as he does. It seems like he's on a mission to get as much posts possible as he can. I use this site for help and find it very helpful, but get annoyed seeing people like him posting when they don't need to.

well i was going to take this to PM's but it wont let me send one to you...it says you dont accept them, so here it goes (this is a copy of the PM i was going to send you):
man, you're a real piece of work, you know that? wtf is your problem? you sit there and flame me for a 'useless' post and you're the one that wasted 2 out of your 7 posts to do it!! you went completely OT and didn't contribute to the posters question AT ALL! at least i told him that the sawblades should fit on his 5th gen and that the only fitment issue would be with the brakes...i'm not really sure but i think that helped him a little better than your completely useless posts!.. i really can't stand people like you, and quite frankly, neither can a lot of people on this forum...i could easily report that thread to a mod and have you banned for straying OT so bad just to flame another person! get over it and
How's this for 'useless' posts:

oh, and here you are flaming a person for having a camry in the middle of this thread about a maxima meet...post #60 http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=340703

from what i can see, you only have one somewhat useful post where you suggested an auto glass company to a person....so next time you try to flame someone for being 'useless' take a look in the mirror, huh? thanks

Ok anyways, i'm really sorry about that, but that kind of stuff just really gets on my nerves! Xl, were you able to try a test fit? i'm sort of interested in seeing how this turns out..

Hey Hero, how about you step away from your computer and take a hike beacause your worthless drivel is unwanted here and is a waste of bandwidth. There are plenty of people on the Org that will back maxil up, so it's an argument you don't want to get yourself into.

You are worthless. Notice that he is a long standing donating member and that you are just a newbie. Stop being negative and grow up.

If it helps, he is talking about these here

I never test fit them really, and yes, this is a shameless plug.
