Thats quite an open ended question. You havent told us what type of box you will use, or what amps, or whether you are prepared to get a new alternator because thats about what youll need to power those type x's well. That being said, Ive always been a Diamond fan. I say man up and go with some D9's

I was thing about get it done at a shop. as for the alt I was think about upgrading to a Dominick Iraggi alt and a second yellow top. Now that I think about it im not to far from don shop but he mostly packed with work. Also my check comes in this week so im getting the stuff ready now for my new ride. Do you have any site where I can take a look at the d9's cuase if they bump harder then the alpine I will get them. I see if the shop next to me even has diamond audio

Are you looking for straigh out SPL,SQ,or SQL? From reading your post it sounds like your leaning towards more SPL and I dont think the Diamonds or the Alpine would give you that. If your looking for SQ or a mix then I dont think you can go wrong with either one.

Theres a difference between SQ and SQL??
Am I not up on my lingo, or is SQL the Avi version of a mix between SQ and SPL?

There's a Diamond dealer in Edison PM Pearl96max

BTW the TypeX is more of a competitor to the Diamond TDX/D9- in which case, I may be alone but Im prefer the sound of a D6 over TDX myself from an SQ standpoint, i really dig'm.

Small sacrifice for high end subs and a 3yr warranty

Anyways good luck with whatever you decide. If you have any questions on the performance of the subs by owners- contact packetattack and Igor911
