Need help choosing headunit
My bose headunit has been on the fritz for a while now and its time for a new headunit. Ive been looking around in stores but i feel like they dont have the best stuff. Id like to keep the price below 350. this is my current setup:
speakers:rear- alpine type s or r ( i forget which it is) 6.5"
front- mb quartz components 5.25"
amp: 5 channel - kenwood KAC 859 (bout 5 years old)
subs: 2 10 inch xtants A1040A
im not to knowledgeable about what complements what, but i like my current setup and want to know what headunit may best fit my setup, im looking for a unit that is ipod ready and also plays mp3's. ive seen some clarions and 1 kenwood excelon that were pretty nice. Any ideas would be appreciated.

If you really want an ipod ready deck I would reccomend an alpine but if you want awesome sq I would reccomend an eclipse.
I had an alpine 9815 (the older verion of the 9855, 9835) until a couple weeks ago. I bought the eclipse 8445 and I love it. It makes the alpine sound like crap. The only downside is that it's alot less user friendly than the alpine but, it's not a problem for me.
