its like 55 or 65 with no points...what i HAVE seen alot of is license plates but not true license plates....just the ones like they have in tuner magazines with a sponsor on the plate

ive seen an expedition, mercedes, bentley, civic, and an integra sporting those types of plates and Ive always wondered if they're getting pulled over for that because a plate is technically there

Actually, I like my front license plate. I don't think it makes my car look like s**t.

Once my vanity plates come in, I'm going to show them off with pride. Hell ... I paid $38 for them. Why put only on one and waste $19?

I had no front plate for a year and I recently got a ticket for $55 in Nassau County. Sometimes they let you go if you have a good excuse.

I hate the way plates screw up the front of the car, but at least mine says my name.

I've been pulled over numerous times without having the front plate, and have never been called on it. In fact, on time a cop pulled me over because he noticed that my emissions was out of date, but he missed the lack of a front plate.

never knew

I pulled my front plate
and the whole front plate holder thing
off my car a week after I bought it.
That was in 97, and no ticket yet.

I live in CT
and I see all sorts of non-state front plates,
custom jobs, "Florida" or whatever,
so I just figured it wasn't required in CT.
I also thought if I were in NY or somewhere where a front was required,
I would be exempt becuase I was from out of state.

Well that sucks.
What the hell do you need a front plate for?
So they can get your lic. number when you're speeding away from them backwards?

They want you to have a front plate so they can give you a ticket by mail - Photo radar or those red light photo tickets!

Guess I'll put my front plate holder back on
and then I'll get a "custom" plate with a one-finger-salute.
They can take pictures of that all they want.

So the cop ticketed you while the car was parked? That's total bull****. You should probably take that to court.

They nab you for $50 in DC, but only if you're parked, then they double if you don't pay by the due date. Just remember to put the plate on your dash when you park - I haven't received a ticket since doing that.
