I remember asking the question of how easy it would be or how much it would cost...

just think about it, you need to take off the dashboard, all door panels, inserts, seats, floor carpeting all over the car, ceiling and rear deck... That is really gutting the interior then reinstalling everything over.

I guess selling your car and buying one with the color you want would be cheaper, or you can go to a junkyard and see how much they would charge you for all of the interior, and maybe u can give them yours in exchange for a discount.

Someone also mentioned buying some sort of paint or dye for the dashboard, which worked well and changed the color.

I don't have a problem with gutting the interior. I've done it before. The only problem that i do have is finding someone who would rather have my tan interior

Why didn't you just buy a Max with a dark interior like you intended to, when we were both looking at local dealerships for your car? You bought the Max you didn't even want... Haha. Sorry. (I throw it in his face occasionally). We just agree that it was a great salesman...

Deep Evergreen was not available with the gray interior. Only available with tan interior.

If SWEETSOUND2001 did the interior swap, his interior would be very unique...no one else would have it.

I'm not sure if this was directed to me or not, but I'll answer anyways. My Maxima ('97 SE) is (to my knowledge) known as Deep Evergreen. Therefore, SWEETSOUND2001's '97 would be Deep Evergreen. I think that '95 and '96 were the last years to have the Black Emerald, even though the Deep Evergreen and Black Emerald are very close in color.

You mean worst, don't you? My car looks dirty about 2 hours after I wash it. The lighter colors hide dirty much better.

Got myself a 97 SE in Neptune Blue.

Really wanted silver or sterling mist even
but they didn't have that option in 97.

Only got about 40k on it so far.
Good for about 250K...?

So I'll be looking for a new car in
20 years or so I guess.

Hope they still make Maximas then.
[Hope they're still gas and not 'lectric]

Haha, actually at the rate that the gas prices are rising; You should PRAY that the cars in the future don't use as much gas as they do now... Hopefully there will be like Electric/Gas Hybrid Maxes, putting out 300+ horses... Haha, doubt it for some reason...
