Left Rear Tire Angled IN, any suggestions?

I will get a picture of this up here in a second, but I wanted to post to see if anyone here has any reasoning behind why my left rear tire would be angled in when compared to the rest of the vehicle. One answer might be that I hit a pothole or something that screwed up the suspension but I am the only person that drives the car and the roads here in Norman are pretty nice, so I am almost 100% sure that is not the answer. \

One thing to mention would be that when I replaced all of my brakes, when I drove the car, the left rear rotor was scraping against the dust shield creating a horrible noise. I removed the dust shield and the noise went away, but it still looks like the outer edge of the rotor is getting cut up.

Could a wheel bearing be the culprit here? What else could be the cause?

Thanks for all the help.

Here's a pic, granted it's difficult to tell here, but there is a lot of pressure being put on the inside of the tire to where the outside of it is almost off the ground. Once I get the car out of the garage I will try to get a pic that allows you to compare the difference between the left and right sides.

Sounds like a stupid question, but are you sure that the rotor is mounted using the correct holes in the rotor?

I helped my buddy change the rotors and pads on his 3000GT a couple years ago and for some odd reason it seemed like the rotors he bought were drilled for a couple different bolt patterns. We put everything back together and one of his wheels started to wobble once it got moving. Took everything back apart saw the rotor was on there "crooked" (not the side I was supervising, BTW, LOL), set it up on the correct holes where the rotors was perfectly flush against the hub, and all was well.

Again, a longshot, but just thought I'd throw that out there. None of the Maxima rotors I've seen have ever been drilled for more than one pattern, but who knows. Not to mention the problem I described probably wouldn't cause the wheel to turn in (all the time) either.

Ya, there isn't any wobble or anything, just a slant. The rotors I bought were Brembos that are OEM replacements so I am pretty sure they would only have one bolt pattern fitment.

Took the tire off when changing the springs and found no issues with the lugnuts, so I am thinking this is a problem with either the bearing or possibly a misshapen rotor.

There are NO alignment adjustments for the solid rear axel (Meaning the rear end alignment is based solely on the straightness of the rear axel). If everything is tightly in place like it should be then it means that your axel is bent. You would know if your bent your axel though. A bearing would not do that. The bearing is secured via the axel lock nut and there is really no screwing that up. Maybe a very screwed up rotor. If I was you I would take everything apart and go step by step via the manual.

Hope this helps

looks in spec actually. Take a picture of both rears, they'll probably look the same, I don't have the Maxima specs in front of me, but I think the rears were built with + camber. A lot of vehicles have this if you look closely while you're driving. The only real way to see if something did happen and it's not your imaginatino is to take it to an alignment shop and have them see if it is within spec. Granted they can't fix it if it's not, but you'll know.

Well, I can tell you for sure that in person it looks way off compared to the right rear and the other OKC guys will confirm this. Furthermore, I am really starting to notice much more wear on the inside of that tire compared to the rest. I plan on taking it to an alignment shop on Tuesday.

sounds like a bent axle beam. you pic shows a slight amount if negative camber. check the trailing arms of the axle beam on both sides. do you have a RSB ?

Actually. A good alignment shop can fix that if it is the alignment. What they do is bend the axel. I know the one here in Louisville does it all the time. But when I dropped mine, it didnt need it. The rotor not seating properly is very very suspecious.

Ya, one of the local mechanics here in Norman mentioned today that he thought it might need new shims, but that there is only one guy in town that will work on shims, so I'm not sure.
