5spd tranny ratios?

Hey,

Does anyone have the numbers on the 5th gen 5spd tranny individual gear ratios? I just swapped an '01 manny tranny into my '97 & now the speedo is off by about 5mph @ 60mph. lil help! thanks!

Specifications
Transmission gear ratio (1st) 3.29
Transmission gear ratio (2nd) 1.85
Transmission gear ratio (3rd) 1.27
Transmission gear ratio (4th) 0.95
Transmission gear ratio (5th) 0.79
Transmission gear ratio (reverse) 3.42
Final drive ratio 3.82

Yup i heard the same....i believe automatics were the same too...from 95-01....and i think they used the same auto tranny in 02-03 as well>? correct me if i am wrong

No ... Nissan changed the final drive ratio in the automaitcs starting in 00. It went from 3.619 in 95-99 to 3.789 in 00-03+ ( 4 speeds only)

They look similar to me, why is your speed off?

yeah I'd say they're exactly the same. any ideas? I'm pretty sure my mech. used an OEM speed sensor designed for my car ('97), but is there a different speed sensor on the 5th gens? That's the only thing I can come up with...

I hate my 5th gear. 5th gear in my 2000 needs to be what the 6th gear is in the 2002's. There's no reason why I need to be at 3500rpm at 85mph. It has the power and torque to do that at 2500 or less.
