Your update on CE rear smoked sidemarkers

Here is an update for those that have inquired. I spoke with Greg yesterday at CE, and they haven't recieved anything yet from the manufacture. He feels that they're not putting priority into them, because the demand isn't out there vs the demand for other products in their production phase. He feels the fronts were more of a demand therefore they were provided first.

Greg was sending them an email or calling them yesterday to get an idea. As of now he doesn't have a solid ETA, but asked me to check back with him in a few weeks. He's sure they'll come out, the question is when.

I'll keep this updated as I find more info.

of course there is demand. i mean, why have smoked fronts and red rears? maybe that is just my opinion, but these are a SET. you have clear fronts and clear rears, so obviously people want clear rears, why not smoked rears to match you smoked fronts?

i have been holding off on VHTing my clears for a while now, but if these dont come thru, i might have to. i honestly think that of the people that bought the smoked fronts, the majority would buy the smoked rears.

Greg said he's already offered to send them the money to buy a Lot of them, and now he's just waiting on an answer.

Keep in mind it's not CE holding these up, it's the manufacture. It blows my mind also, why they wouldn't think they'd be a demand for these when the fronts sold so well. I'm sure they'll come out, question is when.....

To go on your VTEC GT-R grass chopper? We might have a better chance of getting that before we get these rears....

Thanks for the update. Makes me wonder too about the manufacturer. I can't imagine that they are that hard to make. If they make the clears WTF is the problem with making the smoked?

this is officially the most anticipated aftermarket product ever. Its been rumored about for months, with small updates here and there. I think the product has been ready for over a year and this is just a clever marketing scheme.

heh, i just bough a set of 4 clears off ebay. Got tired of waiting for smoked rears. They may sell more FRONTs if the rears were availible.
