Tranny Fixed - Getting Stuck in gear - turbo / exhaust piping vs linkage ?

We got the install done of the ring pinion gear, new bearings, seals, and it is all reshimmed.

The tranny is getting stuck in gear, or even going into 2 gears at once. Either way it is locking up.

Pulled it all down and everything looks perfect. The tranny shifts perfectly on the bench. As soon as it is installed again, it is stuck again.

Any ideas?

is the turbo/exhuast piping too close to the linkage. It looks like it is resting right were it should not be. There is no other way to mount the piping though??

Any ideas???? :< HELP!

Dude we're gona need some pics on this one. If the piping is too close there is no suggestions to give. If it shifts ok on the bench, the only thing I can think of is maybe a bad shifter install.

we had this issue on Redmax's car...the downpipe rubbed the linkage, had to redo the pipe just a little.

The piping was resting on the linkage.

The problem would happen when trying to go into reverse.
It would somehow get into and stuck into second gear.

...used some washers on an exhuast hanger and now it is not touching the linkage.

So far so good, drove a good couple hundred miles.

My shifter now moves like crazy though. If I accel, the shifter jerks forward. it is let go of the accel, the ****er jerks backwards. It is wierd.

the shifter moving would be motor mounts

or exhaust hitting the linkage which would also be a motor mount issue
