Anyone want to Sell, Trade for, or let me Borrow their Emanage Support Cable?

Here's the deal. My Laptop which i bought specifically for tuning is only windows 98. I have the USB clone cable for emanage. Since the computer is windows 98, and the clone cable drivers required Windows 2000 or Windows XP, I can't tune squat. The real Greddy Serial cable will work with my laptop since Emanage only requires windows 98. But the USB cable drivers require 2000 or XP. I have taken my desktop out into the garage and tuned the emanage with this cable sitting in my garage with my computer on the floor so I know the cable works.

So here's what I'm looking for, someone to either sell me their Emanage serial cable, to trade me for my USB clone cable, or to let me borrow their emanage cable for like a week if you aren't using it, just so i can get my car tuned safely and not blow it up.

You have a USB to USB that your tuning with? Im using the Emanage cable w/a serial adapter and have to disconnect it to plug in the WB02 data logger. I might swap with you if its a USB to USB.

Yes the cable is USB to USB. It is known as Simon's Clone Cable or Emanage Clone Cable. This guy simon on the emanage yahoo group was able to burn a chip that is built into the cable that allows the use of a USB to USB cable rather than the USB/Serial cable that greddy sells.

Are you tuning it yourself? :>

How long do you think the tuning process will take you?

You doing street tuning or on a Dyno?

I'm just re-tuning some of the sub injector table. The AFM TPS table is all good.

No need for this thread now by the way, I've got a new laptop on the way. Thanks for the offer though choray.

Only real problem with tuning now is finding a place/time to do it (freeway, late at night) and the fact that I will have to do it in 4th gear because 3rd gear just spins, even at just 11.8psi. Gotta get a friend to come along, that won't be too hard though most of them like riding in the car
