bad BOV

Hey guys,
I am trying to figure out why my Greddy Type-S BOV doesn't sound like it used to. It makes a Bbfffpfpfp sound. well, not your average ptssssss...I thought it was a vacuum leak but I checked. i thinks its mah BOV. it leaks boosts also. is it worth repairing it or just buy a new one? How would u check if its gone bad?
thanx for the input

the adjuster does not do anything anymore. u can't tighten or loosen the adjuster. I was gonna buy a new one but was told to buy a new diaphram for it instead of junking it. i don't know.
