NJ Tint law (NEW)
Hey people. There is a NEW LAW passed for new jersey which I found out last week. Ask your local tint installer or DMV if you dont believe me.
In February of 2001, The governor passed a law that the front two windows can be tinted at 35%. nothing LESS. Here is the deal though. (This is for people with either an EYE or SKIN condition). To qualify for this you need to have a written eye doctors statement stating that you are very sensitive to light, or a written statement from a dermatologist stating that your skin is sensitive to the sun or something of that sort. Then you take this letter to DMV, fill out forms, and then they send you to an authorized TINT installer. There you get your 35% front tints, go back to DVM where they check it, and then they give you some sort of a number and register you in their database. That means that when you get puled over and a cop runs a check on your license, they see that "State Number" that DMV gave you and then they can’t bust ***** about your tints. I got my tints yesterday, (35 front, 15 rear) But went to 4 different competitors before hand. They all said the same thing about this law passed february 1st. But this does not apply to everyone including myself, that is why I will of course try to get this special number under the table some how.

Thats nothing new, theres always been a law like that around in other states. You could even get a note from your doctor saying that sunlight makes its almost impossible to see clearly in and sunglasses don't work and you could get you front windshild tinted.
