Front Struts/ Shocks - Noise

It sounds tome like my front struts or shocks are making a creaking/ groaing noise when I encounter bumps, make certain turns or the car bounces like when I push up and down on the front of the car. Has anyone experiences this? Any thoughts on what the problem may be? Any and all input would be very much appreciated.

check the bearings
there is a donut shaped bearing that is gray that should be in place somewhere up near the top of your spring perch... i have GCs so its a little different setup than regular springs. anyhow, check what shape its in... i know with my ground controls, i wasnt careful when i lowered my car off jacks when i first put them on, and i tore up this bearing. now the side that i ruined the bearing on makes a horrible noise when turning the wheel for anything more than a 45 degree turn. i am going to the local nissan dealership tomorrow to get 2 new ones... and hopefully that will cure the noise.

could be sway bar bushings as well...
Nealoc187, the bearing wear over time, so you might not've been the sole cause
the cv boots are rubber, and wear over time as well. there are should be 4 of them, two inner and two outer. if there is excessive movement of the joint, extreme temperatures (hot, cold), etc... it could accelerate the wear of the boot and cause them to crack sooner.
it's like $90-$130 or so per side to have the outter boots replaced... you should get this done ASAP...
the boot holds grease inside of it which lubricates the actual CV joint. also, if the boot it torn, and dirt/rocks get in there, it can chew up the CV joint. if either of those happen, you may need more expensive repairs.
cv boots cracking isn't sole a nissan thing and happens to all cars.

cracked CV boots
I haven't had any problems with my front struts, but I decided to inspect them anyway after installing my FSTB. Low and behold, my cv boots are coming apart. I have about an inch thick of black rubber rings sitting on the top cup of my struts!
So, I have this great adhesive backed rubber insulation called Rubatex (about 2mm thick). I wrapped my decompositing cv boots with this, enough to cover the openings to the struts. Seems to be working--after a few days of driving they're still hanging on firmly. But it's not really the "right stuff", IMHO. Is there a cv boot repair kit you can get to do this properly? It probably won't save my struts in the long run, but if it can extend them by an extra year or two, I think it's worth doing...
